Founded by Elissa Dauria Smith in 2020, Evolving Story prioritizes quality content in a world where the pulse is always changing. We aim to do just that – evolve!

 

Increasingly, book-to-screen scouting is about timing. Not only do some books get optioned very early in their life cycle, but many are finding their audience later – sometimes years after publication (see: IT ENDS WITH US by Colleen Hoover). Elissa is the only book-to-screen scout who is also a bookseller, responding to what readers are asking for in real time. In a world where an old book can become the next big thing, it’s crucial to be on-the-ground. We have insight not only into what’s buzzy with editors in NY – but also real-life readers!
